Jeep Door Holder Installation Instructions
Thank you for purchasing a F&F STEEL Jeep Door Holder! We hope you’ll love it!
Installation Instructions:
To install the 3/8“ lag screws, you will need the following tools and materials:
- A drill
- A drill bit slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw shank (around 15/64")
- Level
- A 9/16” socket wrench
- 3/8” lag screws
- 3/8” washers
Here are the steps to install the 3/8” lag screw:
- Determine the location where you want to install your F&F STEEL Jeep Door Holder.
- Using a level, ensure that the door holder is level vertically.
- Skipping this step may cause issues when installing your Jeep Doors for storage.
- Mark the holes with a pencil or marker where you intend to drill.
- Ensure you’re drilling into a stud or other secure holding material.
- Using the drill and the 15/64" drill bit, drill pilot holes at the spots marked in step 3. Make sure the hole is straight and goes at least 1-1/2" deep.
- Hold up the F&F STEEL Jeep Door Holder and start the 3/8” lag screws, with the 3/8” washer, by hand.
- Use the 9/16” socket wrench to turn the screw clockwise. Keep turning the screw until it is fully tightened and secure.
Note: It's important to make sure that the pilot hole is slightly smaller than the screw diameter to ensure a tight fit and prevent the screw from stripping the hole. It's also important to make sure that the screw is installed straight and fully tightened to ensure a secure hold.
